The last time Canadian Pro Mod racer, Justin Bond, competed at an event was at the World Doorslammer Nationals back in March 2020.
Bond qualified #1 at that event and set the Legal Pro Mod record at 5.62 but lost in the semis. What a great way to start the year! Fast-forward 7 months and Bond was back in the driver seat of his Bahrain1 Racing PLR ProCharged Raised Cam Hemi-powered Camaro making headlines!
Tuner, Brad Personett, and car chief, Kyle Pettis, had the Camaro dialed in and ready for race day. Just 2 days after making the decision to travel to Houston for the NHRA SpringNationals, Bond and his team sat in the number three qualifying spot with a 5.692 at 248mph.

In the final round, Bond got the win light against Brandon Pesz and won his first Pro Mod Wally. He also became the first NHRA Pro Mod driver to win with a ProCharger power adder. “I decided at 10 p.m. Pacific time on Thursday to race, and I just can’t thank all my guys enough” Bond said. “I am excited about the result”.
We’re hoping to see Justin and his team make the trip to Las Vegas for the Dodge NHRA Finals this weekend.
Bond’s teammate Khalid AlBalooshi is currently #4 in points, trailing points leader Brandon Snider by 56 points.
