TULSA, Okla. (May 2026) – Shawn Ellington and tuner Brandon Stroud picked up a major victory at the Throwdown in T-Town at Tulsa Raceway Park, winning the first Midwest Drag Racing Series event of the season in an all-star final round matchup against Ryan Martin.
The final round featured two former No Prep Kings champions facing off under the lights in Tulsa. The race was decided early when Martin turned on the red light at the starting line, giving Ellington the advantage immediately. From there, Ellington stayed after it behind the wheel of “Blue,” the ProCharger-equipped ’69 Camaro, laying down a strong 3.621-second pass to secure the win.
The victory marked a strong start to the Midwest Drag Racing Series season and added another big win to Ellington’s racing résumé. Fans packed the stands for the season opener, and the final round delivered one of the most recognizable matchups in modern doorslammer racing.
Ellington and the Keith Haney Racing team have continued to show consistency in high-pressure competition, and the performance in Tulsa proved they are once again a serious contender this season.
Congratulations to Shawn “Murder Nova” Ellington, Keith Haney Racing, and the entire team on the Throwdown in T-Town victory.
