NORWALK, OH (AUGUST 27, 2017) – The NMCA series held the 16th All-American Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, OH over the weekend. One lone Pro Line Racing-powered car was among the many fast cars racing for victory. One hard working team drove that car through a tough field of competitors to Radial Wars victory.
Josh Klugger drove his PLR 481X-powered 1993 Mustang to the second qualifying position of NMCA Radial Wars with a 4.029-second shot down the track. Going into eliminations, Klugger improved to a 4.001 at 194 MPH to out run Mark Woodruff to the finish for a first round win. The stakes were high for Klugger’s second round matchup against David Adkins due to Klugger being third in points, right behind Adkins who was second. Fortunately for Klugger, Adkins roasted the tires, which allowed Klugger to coast to an easy victory. Klugger had a bye-run in the semi-finals where he ran a conservative 4.054 at 191 MPH. The Radials Wars final was a very close race, yet the Jamie Miller-tuned, PLR 481X-powered fox body Mustang was the first to the finish in a 4.017 to 4.080 victory over Isaac Preston.
This hard fought win by the Fiscus/Klugger Racing Team is exactly what Klugger needed to put him in reach of the Radial Wars Championship with one race to go. A big congrats to Josh Klugger and the FKR team on winning Radial Wars of the NMCA All-American Nationals!
